Guess what? Football is back! And I’m super excited about it! Autumn is just around the corner, and the days are getting shorter as we get ready to cheer for our favourite teams. From the Premier League to the FA Cup, and even the lower leagues, everyone will be watching the matches as clubs fight for the top spot!
This year, the transfer window has been buzzing with activity, and it looks like teams are ready to make a big splash this season. Will Liverpool keep their title in the Premier League? Can newly promoted Leeds United stay in the league? And who will take home the Champions League trophy?
I can hardly contain my excitement for this season! On a business level, things are looking great, but personally, I have some fun plans too. Casuals 1312 is growing, and I’m going on a tour this season with my project Dan On Tour! I’m planning to visit different stadiums in the UK and even some abroad. In August and September, I’ll be catching games at Bury FC, Lincoln City, Mansfield Town, Oldham Athletic, and Manchester City. I’ll be sharing my adventures on my blog and vlog so be sure to check it out.
Now, back to Casuals 1312… Last year’s predictions didn’t go so well for me, did they? I thought Manchester City would easily win the league, and I had Liverpool finishing third, but Liverpool ended up winning the league with games in hand! I also predicted Arsenal would win the FA Cup, but Crystal Palace surprised everyone by beating Manchester City to take the trophy. I thought Nottingham Forest would get relegated, but they had an amazing season and even qualified for the UEFA Europa Conference League! At least I got one prediction right: I said Newcastle United would win the Carabao Cup.
So, let’s dive into my predictions for the 2025/26 season!
My Top Three for the Premier League
1. I think Manchester City will win the league. They had a rough season last year, but I believe they have something to prove this time around. I expect them to come back strong and fight for the title!
2. I predict Liverpool will take second place. They were fantastic last season and deserved to win the Premier League, but I think they’ll focus more on the Champions League this year. They’ll be close, but I don’t think they’ll take the top spot.
3. For third place, I’m going with Chelsea. I know some people might think I’m crazy, but they look like they’re ready to show everyone what they can do. I believe they’ll snag that third position!
My Bottom Three for the Premier League:
1. I have a feeling Wolverhampton Wanderers are going to struggle this season. I can’t explain it, but my gut tells me it won’t be a good year for them.
2. I think Sunderland will finish in 19th place. Sorry, Sunderland fans, but I just don’t think they’ll be able to keep up in the big league this time.
3. And for Burnley, I’m sorry to say that I think they’ll also have a tough season. My gut feeling is that other teams will find it easy to take points against them.
Of course, I could be totally wrong! Who knows? Maybe Manchester United will end up in 18th place, or Manchester City could face some crazy penalties and drop to 19th. Anything can happen in football!
FA Cup Winners:
I believe Arsenal will win the FA Cup this season! They might not take the league title, but I think they’ll go all out to win this trophy and finally bring it back to the Emirates.
Carabao Cup Winners:
I have a hunch that Newcastle United will keep the Carabao Cup this year. I’m not sure why, but something tells me they’ll win it again!
Champions League Winners:
Since I think Liverpool will focus more on Europe, I believe they’ll make it to Budapest and bring the Champions League trophy back to Merseyside!
Promotion from the Football League:
I think Southampton will bounce back up, along with Sheffield United, and I feel like Blackburn Rovers are ready for a return to the Premier League!
